There are all sorts of zombie movies, from romance to slasher and western to time travel. Could a zombie apocalypse happen? We don’t know, but we’ve compiled a complete zombie movie list for you to binge on the living dead from dawn till dusk and dusk till dawn. There is a movie in this list for every member of the family, from Scooby Doo for the youngest viewers to some “sexy” themed zombie thrillers.
We’ve also included several TV series in the bunch. Really, what’s a zombie list without The Walking Dead in it?
Of course, this list can never be completed because new films are constantly being made about these creatures that we all love to hate.
Although there are over 600 titles listed (to start), it’s certain we have missed many more. If you know of one that we missed, let us know in the comments and we’ll add it. This is a living an undead list, so it is never really finished.

28 Weeks Later (2007) 1hr 40min – The Rage Virus infects London. A safe zone is compromised when siblings set out to find their infected mother. Directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo. Starring Robert Carlyle, Rose Byrne, and Jeremy Renner.
3 Hours Till Dead (2016) 1hr 20min – Not quite low-budget but not a big budget movie either. In this movie a soldier’s brother is attacked by an infected zombie. Naturally, or unnaturally as it may be, he morphs before dying exactly 3 hours later. Now the soldier must do his soldierly duty and protect his family and friends from the undead coming their way.
2012: Zombie Apocalypse (2011) 1hr 27min – The VM2 virus becomes a global pandemic, killing 90% of the population. Directed by Nick Lyon and starring Ving Rhames, Gary Weeks, and Johnny Pacar.
5G Zombies (2020) 1hr 36min – With a one-star rating on Amazon this movie is bound to be great (sarcasm). The creators took people’s 5G fears and turned it into a government zombie conspiracy. Once you activate the 5G – bam – you’re one of the undead.
1000 Zombies (2020) 2hr 55min – Time varies by episode Eight total episodes of zombie mayhem. It’s a combination of different situations that involve fictional found footage, diaries, and short films. Get some diversity in with 1000 zombies.

Aaah! Zombies!! (AKA Wasting Away) (2007) 1hr 31min – A comedy from the viewpoint of the zombies directed by Matthew Kohnen and starring Matthew Davis, Julianna Robinson, and Michael Grant Terry.
Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies (2012) 1hr 36min – Zombie hunter and president Abraham Lincoln must save the country from the Confederacy, both the living and the dead. Directed by Richard Schenkman and starring Bill Oberst Jr., Kent Igleheart, and Rhianna Van Helton.
After Death (AKA Zombie Flesh Eaters 3) (1989) 1hr 24min – An Italian movie where a young girl’s idol is the only thing that will protect the crew of a ship from the zombies on the island. Starring Jeff Stryker and Candice Daly and directed by Claudio Fragasso.
After Sundown (2006) 1hr 28min – You’ll get a vampire western with a touch of zombie townsfolk in this movie directed by Christopher Abram and Michael W. Brown and starring Susana Gibb, Reece Rios, and Natalie Jones.
Alien Dead (1980) 1hr 14min – After a meteor hits a houseboat, alligators aren’t enough for these hungry zombies. Directed by Fred Olen Ray with Buster Crabbe and Raymond Roberts.
All Souls Day (2005) 1hr 29min – The spirits of an ancient Aztec temple demand human sacrifice and someone is happy to oblige. Starring Marisa Ramirez and Travis Wester and directed by Jeremy Kasten.
Alone (2020) 1hr 32min – A global pandemic strikes that causes – you guessed it – hordes of undead. The lead character must rescue a female neighbor before the undead (and unfriendly) descend upon her.
The Amazing Adventures of the Living Corpse (2012) 1hr 27min – A zombie recognizes his family and comes to his senses. Travis Wester directed this animated 3D film and it stars Michael Villar, Marshall Hilton, and Ryan McGivern.
American Zombie (2007) 1hr 35min – Do you want to know how the other half live? Take a look at the daily activities of the undead community in Los Angeles. Directed by Grace Lee. Starring Austin Basis, Jane Edith Wilson, and Al Vicente.
Anger of the Dead (2015) 1hr 23min – A pregnant woman battles for survival after a virus turns the population into zombies. Directed by Francesco Picone and starring Aaron Stielstra, Michael Segal, and Marius Bizau.
Anna and the Apocalypse (2017) 1hr 32min – High school senior Anna Shepard gets more than she bargains for during a zombie outbreak in this Christmas musical directed by John McPhail. Stars include Ella Hunt, Malcolm Cumming, Marli Siu, and Sarah Swire.
Anonymous Zombie (2018) 1hr 19min – Addicts in rehab consume the drugs that get snuck in. Life is good – until the farm becomes infested with undead. Directed by Richard MacQueen.
Another World (2014) 1hr 39min – Biological warfare leaves few survivors who battle against the infected for survival. Directed by Eitan Reuven. Starring Michael Birinbaum, and Shlomi Aviner.
April Apocalypse (2013) 1hr 23min – Artie wakes up after a car crash to find zombies have taken over the world. Jarret Tarnol directs. This movie stars Reece Thompson, Rebekah Brandes, and Brent Tarnol.
Army of Darkness (1992) 1hr 21min – Ash Williams is stuck in the Middle Ages and must defeat the zombie horde to return to his own time. It’s the third installment in the Evil Dead series directed by Sam Raimi and stars Bruce Campbell and Embeth Davidtz.
The Astro-Zombies (1968) 1hr 31min – A disgruntled scientist creates a creature from body parts taken from murder victims and it gets loose. Directed by Ted V. Mikels and starring John Carradine, Wendell Corey and Tura Satana.
Attack of the Herbals (2011) 1hr 25min – A mysterious crate of herbs turns people into zombies when they drink the addictive tea made by two promising entrepreneurs. Directed by David Ryan Keith. Starring Calum Booth, Steve Worsley, and Richard Currie.
Attack of the Southern Fried Zombies (2017) 1hr 23min – Look out Mississippi – here come the zombies! A crop duster pilot finds himself in the position of trying to lead a group of zombie apocalypse survivors through the deadly sea of undead.
Automaton Transfusion (2006) 1hr 15min – It’s high school seniors to the rescue when undead government experiments escape the facility. Directed by Steven C. Miller. Starring Garrett Jones, Juliet Reeves, and William Howard Bowman.
Autumn (2009) 1hr 50min – A school teacher must find a way for civilization to reform after a virus wipes out 99% of the population. Based on the book Autumn by David Moody. Directed by Steven Rumbelow and starring Dexter Fletcher, Dickon Tolson, David Carradine.
All American Zombie Drugs (2010) 1hr 39min – A couple burnout druggies, Vinny and Sebastian, are facing rough times – but they’re innovators, specialists in the field of drugs and drug abuse. They come up with a new drug to sell, but effects on users are not quite what they expected.
An Accidental Zombie Named Ted (2017) 1hr 23min – Ted went on vacation to the Caribbean. Not a big deal, but Ted picked up a skin condition… or was it something more? His family thinks he’s becoming a zombie. Things get especially strange after he hooks up with a vampire from his group therapy session.
Angry and Moist: An Undead Chronicle (2004) 24min – A zombie short film where one man’s half brother works on efforts to conquer brain death. Don’t expect great acting, lighting, or special effects. It’s raw and amateur.
Angry Nazi Zombies (2012) 1hr 27min – A Nazi zombie movie (there are many) that follows three storylines: a soldier on a mission, a family in their bomb shelter, and a supernatural investigator. Not highly reviewed, so you might get angry with it, angry zombies.
Another Apocalyptic Zombie Movie (2018) 1hr 30min – Just another apocalyptic zombie movie. This one starts off with a parapsychologist investigating a haunted house. Meanwhile, a Mayan pandemic is enveloping the country.
Another Night of the Living Dead (2011) 1hr 25min – Another Night of the Living Dead spinoff. The original is in the public domain, so there is no copyright on it, allowing anyone to use it however they’d like. In this case, it’s a romp through the classic.
Apocalypse of the Flesh Eaters (2009) 1hr 2min – Just look at that movie poster – wow – looks great, huh? Eve wakes up as she does any morning, except this isn’t every morning. Here she wakes up in the middle of a zombie apocalypse.
Army of the Damned (2013) 1hr 25min – Do you like reality television? In this movie, the show goes bad; terrible, in fact. Small-town cops show up and it just gets worse.
Atom the Amazing Zombie Killer (2012) 1hr 20min – This movie is a bit rough around the edges, but not as bad as some others listed here. Atom is a pro zombie killer with a horny girlfriend. He’s also a great bowler. Zombies, bowling competitions, and a healthy dose of laughs.
The Atomic Zombie Space Creeps (2017) 54min – Not your conventional zombie movie! Humans are bad, so bad that an alien race comes down to destroy the world to prevent war… yeah. One of these aliens switches sides and joins together with a human to fight back against these atomically-powered zombies.
Attack of the Lederhosen Zombies (2016) 1hr 18min – How will zombies do in a frozen environment? Find out here as a group of snowboarders fight zombies in the Swiss Alps. A ski resort, party scene, and hordes of undead.
Attack of the Vegan Zombies (2010) 1hr 17min – Crops aren’t going that well at Joe and Dionne’s vineyard. In a desperate attempt to bring the crop back, Dionne convinces her mother (a witch) to cast a spell on the crop to bring it back to fruition. The harvest turns very lucrative, until…
Awaken the Dead (2007) 1hr 42min – What happens when you mix a professional killer turned priest with a zombie apocalypse? This movie. It doesn’t come with the greatest reviews, but for the diehard fan of zombie horror, it’s probably worth watching.

Baron Blood (AKA The Horrors of Castle Nuremberg) (1972) 1hr 37min – An Italian movie directed by Mario Bava where the cursed and reanimated Baron Otto Von Kleist must be stopped. Starring Joseph Cotten, Elke Sommer and Massimo Girotti.
Bath Salt Zombies (2013) 1hr 10min – Concentrated bath salts create zombies in this film directed by Dustin Mills, starring Josh Eal, Ethan Holey, and Jackie McKown. Bath salts, by the way, are one of the ways a zombie apocalypse could happen IRL!
Batoru gâru: Tokyo Crisis Wars (AKA Battle Girl: The Living Dead in Tokyo Bay) (1991) 1hr 13min – A toxic cloud caused by a meteorite turns the citizens of Tokyo into zombies. Directed by Kazuo ‘Gaira’ Komiz and starring Katsuhiro Fukuda, Toshiya Ito, Shinobu Kandori.
The Battery (2012) 1hr 40min – Two former baseball players attempt to survive the zombie apocalypse in New England. Starring Zachary Rodriguez and Adam Cronheim. Directed by Jeremy Gardner.
Battle of the Damned (2013) 1hr 28min – Humans and robots team up to fight the undead. Directed by Christopher Hatton and starring Dolph Lundgren, Melanie Zanetti, and Matt Doran.
Battle of the Undead (2014) 1hr 32min – A security specialist takes one last mission: capture a terrorist in Lebanon. He quickly discovers the mission isn’t so easy. Directed by Eitan Gafny.
Battlefield Baseball (AKA Hell Stadium) (2003) 1hr 27min – High school baseball players, bats, balls and martial arts are the focus of this Japanese zombie movie. Directed by Yūdai Yamaguchi. Starring Tak Sakaguchi, Atsushi Itō, and Hideo Sakaki.
The Beach Party At The Threshold of Hell (2008) 1hr 29min – Brought to you by National Lampoon (you likely know the name in comedy movies already), this funny film is set in a post-apocalyptic United States where different groups of survivors clash to see who will rule. They do this while having to be careful of flesh-eating women.
Beaver Lake Zombies (2003) 1hr 1min – A suspicious goo is dumped into Beaver Lake causing two men to become – you guessed it, zombies. A group of codes, who are (of course) horny, then find themselves fighting for their lives against the undead.
Beaver Lake Zombies 2: Detroit Blood City (2005) 1hr 21min – How do you make a bad movie worse? Make a sequel! In this case they’re promising “blood, boobs, and zombies.” The movie also claims to have the “first ever zombie-on-girl sex scene.” I haven’t watched, so you’ll have to tell me how that goes…
Beaver Lake Zombies 3: Blood Orgy at Beaver Lake (2012) 1hr 11min – How do you improve on a movie that boasts the first ever zombie-on-girl sex scene? Add “orgy” to the title. In this case, a crazed scientist is working a new drug that combines the effects of cocaine, ecstasy, and Viagra. Testing it on himself, he becomes a sex-crazed zombie. Sounds like an exciting movie, but I’m guessing it’s very much not.
Before Dawn (2013) 1hr 25min – A couple’s vacation is ruined by the undead. Directed by Dominic Brunt. Starring Dominic Brunt, Joanne Mitchell, and Eileen O’Brien.
Beneath the Surface (2007) 1hr 33min – A high school student uses voodoo to resurrect the girl he has a crush on in this movie directed by Blake Reigle, starring Kyle Stanley, Dominique Geisendorff, and Christian Munden.
Berserkers (2014) 1hr 35min – Not a whole lot to go on with this movie. I’ve never seen it and there aren’t many reviews. If you watch it, add your thoughts in the comments section. Directed by Jacob O’Brien Mulliken (who also stars in the movie).
Better Off Zed (2018) 1hr 27min – Take zombies and toss in an apocalypse, on in this case, the main characters are pretty stoked about the end of the world. Eventually this lazy man is forced to fight, and he becomes the zombie-killing machine that he was destined to become.
Beverly Hills Bodysnatchers (1989) 1hr 25min – A mortician and a doctor team up to reanimate corpses, financed by the mafia. Directed by Jonathan Mostow. Starring Vic Tayback, Frank Gorshin, and Art Metrano.
Beverly Lane (2010) 1hr 9min – Zombies attack during an office retirement party in this movie starring Jim O’Rear, Noah East and Raymond Kester and directed by Joshua Hull.
The Beyond (1981) 1hr 27min – A woman inherits a hotel in Louisiana which sits on one of the gateways of hell. Zombies, spiders, and bleeding paintings add to the horror in this Italian movie directed by Lucio Fulci and starring Katherine MacColl, David Warbeck, and Sarah Keller.
Beyond Re-Animator (2003) 1hr 36min – In the third installment in the Re-Animator film series, Dr. Herbert West continues his zombie experimentation in prison. Directed by Brian Yuzna. Starring Jeffrey Combs, Tommy Dean Musset, and Jason Barry.
Big Tits Zombie (AKA Big Tits Dragon: Hot Spring Zombie vs. Stripper 5) 1hr 13min – Strippers play around with necromancy spells and bring back the dead in this 3D film directed by Takao Nakano. Starring Sola Aoi, Risa Kasumi, and Mari Sakurai.
Bigfoot vs. Zombies (2016) 1hr 18min – Are zombies real? Is bigfoot real? It doesn’t really matter in this mashup of monsters. Only one beast can save humanity from the roaming hordes of undead, and he has very big feet.
Biker Zombies from Detroit (2001) 1hr 20min – These murderous, drug dealing biker zombies from Detroit aren’t interested in flesh eating but world dominance. Starring Tyrus Woodson, Jillian Buckshaw, and Joshua Allan. Directed by Todd Brunswick.
Bio Zombie (1998) 1hr 34min – A bioweapon gets into a soda drunk by a Chinese government agent and turns into a zombie in this film directed by Wilson Yip, starring Jordan Chan, Sam Lee, and Angela Tong.
Biohazardous (2001) 1hr 38min – Ex-Nazi scientists have been creating zombies in small town America. Directed by Michael J. Hein. Starring Sprague Grayden, David Garver, and Al Thompson.
Bite Me (2010) 10min – In this TV series, gamers must battle zombies and save the world after the zombie apocalypse, starring Yousef Abu-Taleb, Justin Giddings, and Ryan Patrick Welsh.
The Black Death (AKA Phi Ha Ayodhaya) (2015) 1hr 24min – The plague brought to Thailand in 1565 by traders turned people into zombies. Directed by Chalermchatri Yukol. Starring Chaat Arthachinta, Apa Bhavilai, and Narucha Chaimareung.
Black Demons (1991) 1hr 28min – Voodoo-created zombies attack a Brazilian plantation. Directed by Umberto Lenzi. Starring Keith Van Hoven, Joe Balogh, and Sonia Curtis.
Black Summer (2019) 45min – While technically not a movie but a series, Black Summer on Netflix covers a small band of strangers as a zombie apocalypse unfolds. A story not too unlike The Walking Dead, they struggle for survival as they attempt to reach family.
Blaming George Romero (2011) 1hr 27min – Here we have 4 fans of horror films looking at the zombie apocalypse as a way to escape their boring lives and become the survival heroes they imagined themselves to be.
Bled White (2009) 1hr 25min – Survival is tough after the zombie apocalypse. Directed by Jose Carlos Gomez. Starring North Roberts, Matthew E. Prochazka, and Colleen Irene Boag.
Block Z (2020) 1hr 41min – University students try to survive the zombie apocalypse in the Philippines in this movie directed by Mikhail Red, starring Julia Barretto, Yves Flores, and Myrtle Sarrosa.
Blood Alley- Chillicothe Makes a Movie (2018) 1hr 12min – This town has a dark past that becomes revealed when a concert awakens the undead at the local theater. Can the band save the town?
Blood Creek (2009) 1hr 30min – Watch out for the Nazi necromancer in this file directed by Joel Schumacher, starring Henry Cavill, Dominic Purcell, and Emma Booth.
Bloodlust Zombies (2011) 1hr 16min – “Blood, Sex, Mutants… just another day at the office.” A manufacturer of chemical weapons creates one that turns people into blood-hungry monstrosities. The lab malfunctions and suddenly staffed are locked down with zombies among them.
Blood Moon Rising (2009) 1hr 34min – A comic book collector and a hippie are unlikely warriors. Directed by Brian Skiba. Starring Laurie Love, Ron Jeremy, and Aaron Neal Trout.
Blood Moon Rising: Lucy’s Revenge (2013) 1hr 36min – Some filmmakers are in an old west ghost town shooting a zombie film when an ancient curse spills over into the world of the living. Werewolves, vampires, and zombies – oh my!
Blood of Ghastly Horror (1967) 1hr 25min – A voodoo witch doctor brings his zombie creation to avenge the death of his son. Directed by Al Adamson. Starring John Carradine, Kent Taylor, and Tommy Kirk.
Blood Quantum (2019) 1hr 37min – Native Americans are immune to the zombie plague and white folk clamor for refuge on the reservation. Starring Michael Greyeyes, Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers, and Forrest Goodluck. Directed by Jeff Barnaby.
Blood Suckers from Outer Space (1984) 1hr 21min – A mysterious mist/energy field turns Texans into zombies. Directed by Glen Coburn. Starring Thom Meyers, Dennis Letts, and Laura Ellis.
Bone Sickness (2004) 1hr 38min – The cure for brittle bone disease turns patients into zombies. Directed by Brian Paulin. Starring Darya Zabinski, Ruby Larocca, and Rich George.
Bong of the Dead (2011) 1hr 31min – Two potheads figure a way to turn the zombies into fertilizer in this movie directed by Thomas Newman, and starring Simone Bailly, Mark Sweatman, and Jy Harris.

Bowery at Midnight (1942) 1hr 2min – Bela Lugosi is a professor who runs a soup kitchen as a front for criminal activities and corpse reanimation. Directed by Wallace Fox. Starring Bela Lugosi and John Archer.
Boy Eats Girl (2005) 1hr 20min – An Irish teen’s unrequited love causes his death, but his mother brings him back using voodoo. Starring Samantha Mumba, David Leon, and Tadhg Murphy. Directed by Stephen Bradley.

Brain Dead (2010) 1hr 31min – A motley crew of characters stumble into a deserted fishing lodge and become attacked by zombie fishermen.
Braindead (AKA Dead Alive) (1992) 1hr 44min – A rabid Sumatran rat-monkey turns the residents of Newtown, New Zealand into zombies. Starring Timothy Balme, Diana Peñalver, and Elizabeth Moody and directed by Peter Jackson.
The Brass Ring (2009) 1hr 23min – This movie takes place in rural Ohio. Friend set out to make a zombie film, but the production process takes a turn they didn’t anticipate.
Breakdown Lane (2017) 1hr 16min – Kirby Lane, the poor lady, her SUV breaks down in the middle of the desert and she has to make her way out. Of course, with any desert climate she must face dehydration… coyotes… and… zombies.
Bride of Re-Animator (1990) 1hr 36min – Dr. Herbert West and Dr. Dean Cain create the perfect dead woman in this sequel to the Re-Animator. Starring Jeffrey Combs, Bruce Abbott, and Claude Earl Jones. Directed by Brian Yuzna.
Broken Springs (AKA Broken Springs: Shine of the Undead Zombie Bastards and 101 Zombies) (2008) 1hr 20min – Tainted moonshine turns everyone into zombies. Starring Teague Quillen, Travis Moody, and Brandon Jenkins and directed by Neeley Lawson.
Bubba’s Chili Parlor (2008) 1hr 24min – A diner in Texas serves mad cow infected chili and turns everyone into zombies. Directed by Joey Evans. Starring Mike Davis, Camille Rocha, and Audrey Elizabeth Evans.
Bullets for the Dead (2015) 1hr 31min – Who better to pair up with during a zombie apocalypse than a renowned bounty hunter? In an unlikely alliance between the hunter and the thieves he has captured, they are forced to partner with a preacher to make their way across the 1870s wild West under the pressure of a zombie apocalypse.
Bunker of the Dead (2016) 1hr 16min – Two friends use an old Jewish diary to gain access to a WWII underground military base. Guess what they find…
Burial Ground: The Nights of Terror (AKA Nights of Terror, Zombi Horror, The Zombie Dead and Zombie 3) (1985) 1hr 25min – An ancient Etruscan curse reanimates the dead in this Italian film directed by Andrea Bianchi. Starring Karin Well, Gianluigi Chirizzi, and Simone Mattioli.
The Burning Dead (AKA Volcano Zombies) (2015) 1hr 22min – Dead cannibals are reanimated by a volcanic eruption. Directed by Rene Perez. Starring Tom Downey, Moniqua Plante, and Danny Trejo.
Burying The Ex (2014) 1hr 29min – A Satan Genie takes a lover’s vow to be together forever seriously and reanimates the ex-girlfriend. Directed by Joe Dante. Starring Anton Yelchin, Ashley Greene, and Alexandra Daddario.
Brokeback Zombie (2009) 44min – I don’t quite understand the amateur zombie movie mashup of zombies and half-dressed women, but here we have another. In this case, two girls find a way to make money from zombies by opening a brothel. Sinful?
Buck Wild (2013) 1hr 35min – What happens when you go hunting on leased land and accidentally shoot the owner? Not much other than a dead landowner, except in this case, he was infected by a Chupacabra.
Buddy Bebop vs the Living Dead (2009) 1hr 19min – Set in 1956 rural America, the movie starts off in a roller rink. The music ends and the hunger begins. Blood, gore, and death. Will a hero emerge?

Dead Flesh (2001) 1hr 19min – Ben meets Maggie, the new girl at school, who also happens to be a zombie. He falls in love with her, and agrees to help her with her zombie ways if she agrees to only kill the popular kids at school.
